CREATOR

I was born in New Zealand on August 16, 1960. That makes me a tail-end boomer, yet I feel timeless. Half a century? Poof! It’s gone, but I filled it well.

Briefly, when I left NZ in my early twenties I headed across the Tasman to Sydney, Australia and spent 5 years in Oz. Then I moved to America for 20 years and lived on all three coasts.

I first landed in Florida then migrated to Texas, where I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Architecture from the University of Houston in 1995 (so I’m not a complete dope).  A couple of years later I moved to the bay area of San Francisco and wove my way around the peninsula until I wound up in a great little town called Boulder Creek in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains—one of my favorite places on Earth—where I lived for a number of years. I subsequently found myself back in Texas (it’s a long story). Now my two children and I call the central east coast of Australia home.

I’ve been fortunate to travel around the world and work in a diverse group of industries, to meet an abundance of eclectic individuals, to ‘enjoy’ many diverse situations, and remain alive to tell the tale. It’s been an interesting ride.

On my journeys I observe everything I possibly can. I notice patterns. I have an insatiable appetite for knowledge and intend experiencing all I learn into wisdom. Though I’m not nearly ‘there’ yet (wherever that is) and perhaps despite appearances to the contrary, I can honestly say: so far, so good.

Now it’s time to share what I’ve learned so far.

Despite the difficulties I’ve faced—and perhaps because of them—I feel blessed to share this beautiful planet with you all. Thank you for being here.

Diverse opinions are most welcome here, but please bear in mind that respect goes a long way toward creating the kind of world we all probably want to live in...
